Kimberly Saunders is a writer and performer originally from Syracuse, New York now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her creative non-fiction focuses on humor and honesty and has been published online in The Furious Gazelle, Sweatpants & Coffee, and Twenty-Two Twenty-Eight. Her dramatic works were featured as part of the SUNY Oswego New Voices Play Festival from 2007-2010. More recently, her plays have been produced in person with Davidson Community Players, Union County Playmakers, Arts for All, and online with the 3x10 Virtual Play Festival.

Kimberly will be appearing in the role of Karen Slade in Old Courthouse Theatre’s production of 110 Stories by Sarah Tuft. This moving tribute to the real people who experienced 9/11 will take place from September 8-10 in Concord, NC.
Teacher-Penned Play Festival
For the third year in a row, Kimberly will have a ten-minute play performed in Arts for All’s Teacher-Penned Play Festival. Her play “Dinner Plans” is a short zombie comedy about learning to accept who you are. She will also be performing in plays by Andy Rassler and Meredith Yanchak.
Theatre on the Beach
This summer Kimberly performed in Arts for All’s annual Theatre on the Beach production of Macbeth. In addition to appearing in the title role, she also co-wrote the play as part of a collaborative developmental workshop.
