Kimberly Saunders is a writer and performer originally from Syracuse, New York now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her creative non-fiction focuses on humor and honesty and has been published online in The Furious Gazelle, Sweatpants & Coffee, and Twenty-Two Twenty-Eight. Her dramatic works were featured as part of the SUNY Oswego New Voices Play Festival from 2007-2010. More recently, her plays have been produced in person with Davidson Community Players, Union County Playmakers, Arts for All, and online with the 3x10 Virtual Play Festival.

Boos & Brews 2023
Kimberly is directing “Change of Heart” by Cale Evans at this year’s Boos & Brews Festival with Davidson Community Players. This ten-minute dark comedy features performances from Timo Nicolakis and Edwin Quinterio.
Kimberly’s second full-length screenplay Under Pressure is officially on the festival circuit with its recent selection in The Women’s Independent Film & Television Festival. Update: It was a finalist for Best Feature Script!
Kimberly appeared in the role of “Karen Slade” in Old Courthouse Theatre’s production of 110 Stories by Sarah Tuft. This moving tribute to the real people who experienced 9/11 took place from September 8-10 in Concord, NC.
